MH1-2005 Pallet Standard Now Available At No Cost from MHIA

MH1- 2005 -Pallets, Slip Sheets, & Other Bases for Unit Loads, an American National Standards Institute (ANSI) standard pertaining to pallets used in the unit-load method of assembling, stacking, storing, handling, and transporting materials and products, is now available from Material Handling Industry of America (MHIA) at no cost at the MHIA Bookstore.
This purpose of this standard is to:
¡Define terminology and nomenclature associated with pallets
¡Apply to pallets irrespective of components and materials used in their fabrication
¡Provide a series of recommended pallet dimensions and sizes
¡Describe procedures for pallet sampling, inspection, and testing
¡Indicate procedures for designating pallet requirements.
The standard can be downloaded at no cost at the MHIA Bookstore.
2010 Version - Reviewers Requested
The MH1 committee is developing a revision of this standard and is anticipating publication in 2010. If you are interested in serving as a reviewer of the draft standard, please contact Mike Ogle at 800-345-1815/704-676-1190. All reviewers receive a complementary copy of the standard upon completion. The 2010 version is anticipated to cost $25 in PDF format and $75 in paper format.
